Step into a 400-year-old Canava at Vedema, a Luxury Collection Resort in Santorini and experience “A Land in Need of Rest,” a contemporary art exhibition organized by Big Blue Dot as part of the Biennale of Contemporary Keramics.

Conceived as a dialogue between award-winning ceramicist Ule Ewelt and artists from Santorini, “A Land in Need of Rest” reflects on the island’s natural beauty, ecological heritage, and urgent need to protect its biodiversity — from ancient vineyards and small tomatoes to birds, donkeys, and wild plants. It invites reflection on what has been lost, what still endures, and what needs care, while fostering a deeper, more meaningful relationship with the environment beyond an anthropocentric view.
